Now on to my card for today!
I had a lot of fun with this one! That is the cake from Celebrate Cake- I originally was simply going to paper piece the cake image, but the paper I used (from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 2 Sunshine collection) was just a little too thick. I wasn't getting the look I was going for. Then, I had the idea to stamp the image on the backside of the paper I wanted to use and cut it out. Then, I could use the shape of image, but also layer them in a way that looked a lot more appealing to me. That ruffly gingham ribbon is from May Arts... love it!
Here's the inside of the card:
Love that sentiment... super cute!
Thank you so much for stopping by today- I hope to see you over in the Neighborhood!

ReplyDeleteGreat idea to stamp on the back of your paper, Stephanie! The 'tablecloth' is one pretty, ruffly creation, too. Also like the musical background, reminding me of the Happy Birthday song.
ReplyDeleteLovely card, both inside and out. I think that gingham ruffle/frill number is fantastic. Love the mix of prints. Such an en trend card. Love it!
ReplyDeleteYummy card! Love the way you stamped on the back of the paper and that ruffle is just sublime. Due to your 'enabling' I placed my first MSS order this week and can't wait til my stamps arrive!
