  Hi, guys!

I am a tried and true baseball mom and I've seen Sandlot more times than probably any other movie... lol!

Today I'm sharing a card I made with the Squints Card Add-on- still available in the shop!

I LOVE the stamps in this kit! And I really put them to use this month!

I was inspired by the fabulous Vanessa Menhorn and THIS card that she made- love how she stamped her floral background! I "lifted" her card for one of my projects in my gallery this month!

(You can see her full gallery HERE)

Here's how I made my card:
1. Gather supplies.
I grabbed some white cardstock, patterned paper, Versafine Onyx Black ink, stamps (from the Squints kit!), waterbrush, Peerless Transparent Watercolor Papers, and some tape.

2. Stamp your background.
I took three different sizes of the rose bud stamps and stamped them randomly to cover the card front.

3. Paint.
I chose three colors and watercolored over the stamped images.

4. Finishing touches.
I splattered some black paint, added a sentiment, and adhered the stamped sheet to a card base!

Thanks so much for the inspiration, Vanessa!

Thanks for stopping by! Check out the SANDLOT KITS before they're sold out- they're really great!

Studio Calico Pinball Card Kit Projects!

  Hi!

Sorry it's been so quiet around here! Summer is taking over! We had a great trip up to Delaware to visit with family and now we're home and getting back into the swing of things.

And now that I'm home, I'd LOVE to share some of the cards I made for the latest Studio Calico release! I was amazed to see that the Pinball Card Add-on is still available for purchase! I would buy this kit for the stamps alone- they're absolutely beautiful! Check it out!

These awesome stamps were created by OneCanoeTwo for Studio Calico- and they're absolutely perfect... not kidding. Gorgeous sentiments, great floral images that are great for building, love it all...

Here are a couple projects I created with this kit-

Again.... I LOVE these stamps.... sigh...

I started by stamping my sentiment with Yes Peas Color Theory Ink from Studio Calico. I masked the sentiment by stamping it on a sheet of scrap paper, cutting it out, and laying it over my card sentiment. Then, I stamped the floral images I wanted, building the images with the different stem and flower components. SO fun.

Then, I pulled out my Peerless Transparent Watercolors and painted the flowers a bit. To make the flowers really pop off the page, I outlined the images with a T1 Copic marker.

Love how it turned out....

I used the beautiful Penny Arcade Cut Files by Kim Stewart on this one! I cut them with my Cameo using white cardstock and backed each leaf with the awesome honey tan paper from the paper pad that comes in the kit. I contrasted that with the beautiful blue polka dot paper. And how awesome is that sentiment- great, bold sentiment to really make an impact on a card!

Here are the cut files- only available until the end of the month!:
