I LOVE the colors this month! SO bright and fun! The navy thickers are absolutely PERFECT. They are the my new favorite. Seriously- if I could get them in every color, I totally would... lol! They are just the right size and they're narrow so you can fit a lot on one card.

The chipboard shapes in this kit are also really fun! You can leave them as they are or customize them with markers, paint, or ink!

I used this kit to document our snow days! See how perfect those alphas are... sigh... just the right size!

The "PLAY ALL DAY" card was just perfect for what I was documenting- fit in just right!

I used the stamps from the kit and some of the new Color Theory inks (Deja Blue, Yes Peas, Blush Crush, and Well Red) to make this fun card documenting just how many days of school we missed for our whopping 2 inches of snow! LOL!

How pretty is that ribbon!? Love it so much! Can't wait to use it!

Another favorite from this kit is the super cute stamp set with coordinating wood veneer! They're a perfect match and they're absolutely awesome!

I sound like a broken record at this point, but THE COLORS! I love these colors! Haha!

On this one I used a super fun digital cut file, too! This is the Office Hours Cut File Set by Paige Evans- I cut out the pieces I wanted to use using my Silhouette Cameo and made this the focus of my card! Love this fun little phrase so much!

Here's a look at how the stamps coordinate with the wood veneer! SO fun!

Hello card + matching ENVELOPE!

  Hi!

Whenever I make a card that I know will be hand-delivered, I like to take the time to make it a little extra special. I love to stamp and embellish the envelope to match the design of the card!

I made this card a with the new LemonLush collection from Studio Calico and decided to take it up a notch and create a fun, sparkly envelope to go with it!

This collection is full of beautiful, bright colors and accents of gold and silver. Just absolutely beautiful!

Here's how I made the card:

1. Cut a card base.
Start with an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock. Cut the cardstock down the middle to create 2- 4 1/4" by 11" sheets. Then, score at 5 1/2" to make your card base!

2. Decorate with patterned paper, stickers, and die cuts.
I started by adhering this pretty polka dot patterned paper to the top of my card.
Then, I added some silver triangle stickers to create a fun banner look.
I continued the banner theme by cutting a banner shape with my Cameo.
I added a "hello" die cut and the cute butterfly and it was finished!

Here's how I created the envelope:

1. Gather supplies.
I used some fun triangle stickers, patterned paper, and stamps for this project!

2. Stamp a sentiment.
My card is a simple "hello" card, so I complimented it with this "I think you're amazing" sentiment!

3. Get creative.
I arranged the triangle stickers in a fun geometric pattern. Then I hand-cut a banner shape from the patterned paper and layered the sentiment strip on top. Glue everything down and make sure it's extra sturdy since it's on the outside of the envelope!

Here are the card and envelope together- I love how they compliment each other and the decorated envelope just makes the handmade card feel more dressed up!

Do you ever coordinate your envelope? I'd love to see!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ink Reference Sheet

  Hey!

So.... yesterday Studio Calico announced their new line of Color Theory products- beautiful sequins, buttons, enamel dots, alphas, paper, and even INKS! I posted a quick reference sheet that I made of the new colors and had a lot of questions about how the new inks compare to some other popular inks on the market. Today I made a reference sheet of all the dye inks I currently own.

I will preface this by saying that I do not collect ink pads! LOL! I don't have space or money to buy every ink on the market. These are the 36 pads that I currently own and use on a regular basis. They consist of the new Studio Calico Color Theory inks, Hero Arts inks, Distress Inks, and Momento inks.

As you can see, the new Studio Calico inks stamp beautifully! The ink covers completely and stamps very clean and crisp. I am absolutely IN LOVE with the colors and love how they fill in with my other ink pads.

If you have any specific questions- please leave me a comment here on this post and I'll quickly reply!

http://tinyurl.com/lgvmtc9

These inks are absolutely gorgeous and they're really great quality! I've had my fair share of ink pads over the years and I can honestly say that these inks are incredible. They stamp really clean, solid, crisp images without splotching or pooling. They clean off completely from your stamps (even Deja Blue!) with one quick swipe of a baby wipe. And these colors are absolutely beautiful! You definitely want to try these new ink pads!

I know you can probably tell that I'm excited! I hope you're excited, too!
