Vintage Wallpaper... Love At First Sight....

Sigh.... I love this stamp... if you don't like damask (is there anyone out there?) then don't come here! LOL! The february new release stamps are available now over at Market Street Stamps and this is by far my new favorite- it's called Vintage Wallpaper. A large A2 size background stamp that you can ink up and stamp a whole card front in one quick stamp. Beautiful.

Here's a card I made with one of my favorite color combos: Kraft, Chocolate Brown, and a pop of color (in this case Harvest Gold).

Oh I love it so much.... I used my other favorite background stamp, Bit of Burlap to accent the sentiment which is from the set Celebrate Cake. I hope you love this stamp as much as I do!

Have a beautiful day!

Birdy Celebration!

Hey, there! I wanted to show you guys a card I made last night-- it's a little different than what I normally do (read: there's a lot going on), but I like it just the same!

Here's the card:

I really love it! I used the mat stack 1 die cut that was cut from the coaster I used on this card. Then I die cut a piece of kraft cardstock that was stamped with BB: Tin Types- love the new Doily Details dies! So great! The birdcage and bird are from the My Cute Stamps Elegant Birds set. The sentiment is from PTI's Fillable Frames #5.

Here's a close-up:

Hope you're all having some fun this weekend! I think I'm going to take the boys out to do something today- they're getting a little crazy!

Talk to ya soon!

Totally Hues Challenge #2

Hey! Here today to share a card I made for Heather P.'s Totally Hues Challenge #2! If you haven't seen her new challenge yet- pop on over and show her some love! I love Heather's style and these challenges have really taken my out of my color comfort zone- in a good way!

Here's the challenge:

And here's my card:

Ok, guys.... can I just say how much I'm diggin' the new coasters from PTI. So silly, really. They're just coasters... but I'm having so much fun stamping away on them and die cutting them and using them on my cards. So fun.

This is a little different from my usual style- and went crazy stamping on this coaster, but I really LOVE the result! I started by playing around with the new Delightful Doilies set using Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides ink. Then, I pulled out BB: Text Style and stamped it over top with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. LOVE.

I took the idea of dies cutting the coaster and stamping the frame inside from Nichole- she used this technique here. Loved it, had to try it! I also used the new frame from Tag-It's with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and the sentiment is from Daily Design Sentiments.

The butterfly... beautiful... used the new Bitty Background Blocks to add some detail to the butterfly shapes.

So...... that's a grand total of 6 different stamp sets on this one little card... lol! That's what happens when you get a bunch of new stuff and want to play with it all at the same time!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you play along with Heather's challenge! It's so fun!

Make-It Monday #3 (on Thursday... lol!)

Hi, therre! Glad to see you today and I hope everyone is having a BEAUTIFUL day! I'm here to share my take on the Papertrey Ink Make-It Monday challenge. This week, the challenge was presented my Miss Dawn McVey- it is to use scor-tape to create glitter accents. I have a confession... I'm not a glitter fan. I know, I know...  I can't help it. I really try to avoid the mess at all costs, but for Dawn I'll do it... haha!

Here's my card:

So... I think I'm in love with the new Royal Velvet color from Papertrey Ink and I chose it to use it here... so rich and beautiful.

I took some inspiration from the beautiful Nichole Heady and stamped my flower (YOF: Carnations) in Snow White ink and outlined it with my copics. Such a beautiful technique and I'm so glad I got to try it out.

I stamped the flower off the center panel and popped it up on dimensionals.

The strip of glitter is also continued off the edge of the center panel. I think it really helped with the balance of the card!

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi, guys! I hope you all are having a fabulous Valentine's Day! I just wanted to pop in real quick and show you the Valentine's I made for my son, Aden, to give to all his friends at Pre-K! I used Paper Smooches stamps by Kim Hughes called Falling For You! They came out super cute!

Here is the group of them all together! I got lucky because there are only 17 kids in his class and I had a ton of fun coloring all the cute images with my Copics.

Love Monster!

Batty In Love!

Nutty For You!

Cards for his teachers: LOVE YOU TO MY CORE! SOOO CUTE!

Thanks for stopping by to take a look today! I hope you have a great Valentine's Day!

PTI Think Big Challenge!

Hey there! So excited about everything happening over at PTI this week. Today was teh introduction of Think Big Favorites sentiments (only $5!!!) and the Parisian Doily Die (I might die....). Love, love, love everything I see and it's going to be really hard to wittle my list down and stay within budget! So I guess I gotta play along and try to win something!

Today's challenge over at Papertrey Ink is to make a card that has something super-sized on it! When I heard this challenge, I immediately thought of YOF: Roses- that rose image is HUGE and so beautiful! Then I realized that I haven't shared the card I made for my niece's Baptism! So here it is:

This is a super-sized card itself- it's a 5x7. I added some scoring detail along the bottom of the card to ground the sentiment and beautiful rose image! The sentiment is computer generated. I love how soft and elegant this card feels.

Here is a close up of the flower:

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be popping in later tonight with my Project Life post- I promise I didn't forget about that- there's just been so much to post this week! LOL!

Celebrate Cake from Market Street Stamps!

Hi, there! I'm here to show you a card I made with the new Market Street Stamps Celebrate Cake and So Happy! These sets are now available over at the MSS store and are soooo much fun!

Here's the card:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the circle image from So Happy! I used it to create a background on kraft cardsock with white and silver ink.

I paper pieced the cake with Making Memories Black Tie paper and added rhinestones around the base of each cake layer!

Of course... I couldn't help but add a satin bow! I think it gives the card a very elegant feel! This card would be perfect for either a special birthday or a wedding!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

PTI Anniversary Color Challenge!

Hi! I promise, I don't usually have this much time each week to create! LOL! I'm on a break from school right now so I have a little extra time on my hands. Let me say, it couldn't come at a better time because I actually get to participate in all the PTI anniversary contests!

Here is my card for today's challenge:

I used Lisa Johnson's color combination of pure poppy, spring rain, kraft, and vintage cream! One of my favorite color combinations! I used Dawn's Love Birds set to make this sweet Valentine's Day card for my hubby! The bow might be too much for him, but I don't think he's gonna care much anyway and I like pretty things... lol!

Here's a close-up of the sentiment:

Love it! Thanks for stopping by!

Make It Monday -- Go-To Sentiment Card!

SO EXCITED! Today Nichole announced that Papertrey Ink will be starting a renewed version of the Guest Star Stamper contest called Make It Monday! I'm super excited for a weekly challenge from Papertrey Ink! The first challenge was presented by the enormously creative Erin Lincoln and it is called Go-To Sentiments.

Here is a link to the post and a video showcasing this super creative technique!

So- I wasted no time and decided to play along while AJ was taking his nap!

Here's the card:

I love it. Once again, I used some of my FAVORITE things on this card: kraft, rustic cream, ocean tides, and aqua mist- my fave colors, beautiful PTI butterfly dies, PTI wooden buttons, and my beloved satin ribbon... LOL!

And... I don't even know how many different Papertrey Ink stamp sets I used on this one... I lost count! HAHA!

Thanks for visiting today- I hope you love my card!

Totally Hues Challenge #1

Hey, guys! How is your Monday treating you? Mine is quiet... lol! Aden's in school, Austin's hanging out watching some toons, and I finally get to post some cards I made for Heather P.'s new color challenge! Can I tell you how excited I was to see Heather P. on the new Paper Smooches Design Team? And then to see her starting a new challenge? Super excited! I love her style and get a ton of inspiration from her work!

Here's the challenge in case ya missed it:

The first card I made is using My Cute Stamps. These super cute images are from the Little Forest Friends set. LOVE THAT OWL! Can't get enough. Did you see the new stamps over there- super cute! Mustaches... gonna be so cute on some super fun scrapbook layouts, I'm sure!

And then I got my Paper Smooches stamps in the mail.... I couldn't resist people... I made another card for this challenge... lol! I've been very "pop art-y" lately- probably a phase, but anyway, I'm diggin' it! Here's my card with the super sweet acorn from the Falling For You set! Trust me when I say that you will be seeing much more Paper Smooches on my blog very soon!

LOVED the challenge, Heather! Thanks for making me come out of my **neutral** comfort zone!

Papertrey Guest Stamp Designer Contest

Hi, there! I popping in tonight to share a quick card I made for the INCREDIBLE contest going on over at Papertrey Ink today! The prize: work with Nichole herself to design a stamp set for PTI!!! AHHH! I want it so bad... I have a ton of ideas floating around in my head, sketches all over the place, and nothing to do with it all! This would be a HUGE opportunity!

That being said, I have 1 day and no time to create for this contest! I managed to squeeze this card in in between grocery shopping and Super Bowl cooking! I couldn't pass up such a great chance!

Here's the card:

I used the tag created by Alli Miles- beautiful floral image. I used it with a bunch of my favorite things: PTI kraft, fresh snow ink, Copic markers, BB: Tin Types, Mat Stack 1 Collection, and satin ribbon. LOVE.

Thanks for having a look at my card today!
I'll be back tomorrow with a card for Heather P.'s new color challenge- super excited about that!

Play Date Cafe Get Well Card

Hi! I have some time this week (taking a 2 week break from school!) so I thought I'd play along with a few challenges! I have so much fun with color combination challenges- they take me completely out of my comfort zone and there's something so exciting about that! You never know what you're going to get!

Today, I played along with The Play Date Cafe! Here is the challenge:

And here is my card:

Love. I would have NEVER put these colors together. I didn't have a purply-blue like the color in the inspirational photo so I used enchanted evening. I stamped the large butterfly die cuts with different background stamps from PTI. The sweet blush layer was impressed with the Tin Types impression plate. So pretty! I love it! Hope you do, too!

Thanks for stopping by!

My FAVORITE Papertrey Project This Year!

Hey! Are you all playing along with Papertrey Ink's 4th Anniversary Contests?! If you haven't seen yet, pop over to Nichole's blog to join in the fun!

Today's contest (with an INSANE prize package) is for us loyal PTI customers to go back through the year and chose our favorite project using PTI products! It was soooo hard for me to choose (I've used A LOT of PTI this year! LOL!), but I narrowed it down for a card I made just this month!

Here's the card:

I love this one- so soft and sweet! I used Sweet Blush, which I barely ever use, and I LOVE the softness it brought to the card!

Thanks for checking in today!
