Rustic Butterflies!

Hey! I'm here today to share a card I made recently for the 2nd Market Street Stamps Sketch Challenge! Here's the challenge:

In addition to the sketch- you have to make an embellishment using background stamps! This is something I do OFTEN so I was excited about this little twist!

Here's my card:

Oooohhhh.... very earthy. I started with Rustic Cream and Ripe Avacado cardstock. Ran the Ripe Avacado layer through the cuttlebug with my PTI Linen & Canvas Impression Plate- love the rustic look it added. I tied some embroidery floss around the card and added some rustic wooden buttons.

Then, I went background stamp crazy.... lol! I pulled out my Market Street Stamps Vintage Wallpaper stamp and Sweet Lace stamp. I stamped them with Walnut Stain Distress Ink on Rustic Cream cardstock and punched/die cut a bunch of pretty butterflies. The sentiment is from Market Street Stamps' Hippie Chic set.

While browsing the web, I came across this new challenge blog- CAS-ual Fridays and decided to enter it over there, too! So excited about this new challenge- they have an AMAZING team! The challenge this week was to use buttons and twine, check and check!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Talk to you soon!

MSS meets Card Patterns- once again!

Hi, there! Hope you're all having a wonderful day! I have a card to share with you today using the newest sketch from Card Pattens- Sketch #114! Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

I used the sketch as a starting point and then chose my color combination. I decided to make this one a little rustic- cream, kraft, chocolate brown, red, and teal. One of my FAVORITE color combinations of all time- love it!

I stamped the new Woodgrain background stamp with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Then, I took my blending tool and added some color around the edges.

The sentiment is of course from the beautiful Hippie Chic set- I reach for that set all the time for these beautiful sentiments.

The patterned paper is from Echo Park's For The Record line- I don't buy a lot of patterned paper, people, but I have this line.... that says a lot!

Don't forget- you still have time to show us what you're making with Market Street Stamps!  Link your projects using Market Street Stamps to any of the places linked below for your chance to be the "Cream of the Crop" and win a $20 GC to Market Street Stamps!! You have until 11:59 PM CST May 27th to share your projects!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

MSS Color Cue #2

Hi, there! So nice of you to stop by for a visit today! Hope you are all doing well! I'm here today to share a card I made for the latest Color Cue challenge over at the Market Street Stamps blog! Here's the challenge:

Ooh.... love this color combo! Here's the card I made:

Love the colors- so perfect for spring! I started with a sheet of Summer Sunrise cardstock and stamped MSS Lost Garden with Fresh Snow ink. Then, I did some die cutting. Here I used Turning A New Leaf, Doily Details A, and Fillable Frames #7 dies (all from Papertrey Ink). Love these dies and I've been a little die-crazy lately! You can't blame me!

The birdy is from MSS Follow Your Heart and is paper pieced with a sheet from the Echo Park collection A Walk in the Park- beautiful paper! Finished it off with a sentiment from PTI's Birthday Bash Sentiments.

I'm also linking this card to the Wee Memories challenge this week! It's all about paper piecing- check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I have one more thing to share- if you haven't already checked it out, I'm hosting a contest with Market Street Stamps called "Cream of the Crop!" All you have to do to participate is share your projects using Market Street Stamps- it's super easy!! Click the "Cream of the Crop" blinkie on my right sidebar for more information!!

Thanks!
