CAS-ual Fridays 72: Toot Your Own Horn

Hello!
I'm here today with a card I made for the latest CAS-ual Fridays challenge!

This week- create a project inspired by YOUR blog header! FUN!

We have a fabulous sponsor, too! This week our sponsor is A Muse Studio!

Here's my card:

I found this awesome file in the Silhouette store- it's called Hello Cards. I layered yellow patterned paper behind the letters and the bottom half of the word. Then I adhered the whole thing to kraft cardstock with foam dimensional tape.

This challenge was SO much fun for me! I'm sure you'll have fun with it, too!
Stop by the CAS-ual Fridays blog to check it out!

"SLUMP" CHALLENGE!

Yup. I've been in a bit of a "slump." Haven't gotten much of anything done lately and I don't really have much motivation to do anything either. Boo.

I was sitting my butt on the couch watching tv the other night when I got a text from Miss Laurie Willison. Turns out I'm not alone! LOL! She was sitting at her desk at her house, mojo-less, and apparently texting... lol!

After chatting for a few minutes, we decided to make crafting a little bit of a challenge this week- so we came up with our own little "slump" challenge blog hop! HAHA! Yup- it's just the two of us. But I'm sure we're not alone! If you're in a slump- you can post, too!

SO- no theme, anything goes- here's a card I made instead of sitting around watching junk on tv!

YAY! I made SOMETHING! HA! AND.... I broke out the Cameo, too! I started by cutting out the Chicken Wire Background from the Silhouette Store. Then, I ungrouped the cut file and cut the hexagons out of a couple of different papers. I filled in the hexagons in the background to create this fun background!

The sentiment is from the Market Street Stamps set Great Big Greetings!

I'm also linking this one up over on the Retro Sketches blog! I figured that since the motivation came from Laurie- I could take it even farther and link up to a challenge that she designs for! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you run over and visit Laurie, too- she made a beautiful card today! Like I said- if you're in a slump (like me and Laurie!)- see this as a challenge to get up and make something! If you do, share a link in the comments- I'd love to see! :)

CAS-ual Fridays 70: Black & White + One

  Hi, there!

I'm here today with a project I made for the latest challenge over at

This week the challenge is to use black & white and only one other color! My favorite kind of challenge!

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous

Print

So happy to be able to play with these stamps a little more this week- so much fun!

Here's what I made:

So... if you know me, you know that I have a little "thing" for ladybugs.... even have a little tattoo of one on my shoulder... so I just KNEW I had to use this sweet little ladybug and I wanted him to make a big impact! I repeatedly stamped the ladybug all over a sheet of white cardstock and colored them in with Copics. I finished the card off with some twine from The Twinery and a quick little banner for the sentiment.

Both the sentiment and the ladybug are from the Neat & Tangled Fresh Blooms set- so much fun!

I also created this card for the Repetition Challenge in the Moxie Fab World- LOTS of repetition going on here.... haha!

I hope you'll stop over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog and check out the challenge this week!

See ya soon!

MSS Block Party Time + Moxie Fab World Asymmetry Challenge

  Good morning!

It's Block Party time on the MSS blog! Make sure you run over and link up your projects this weekend for your chance to win some free stamps OR a GUEST DESIGN SPOT! Woohoo!

Here's the card I made for the Block Party!

I used the sweet orchid and vase stamp from Teacher Notes to create this thank you card that is not neccessarily "teacher-specific!" Gotta love when you can get a little extra outta of a stamp set! Teacher Notes is not JUST for teacher notes after all! Haha!

I also created this card for the Asymmetry Challenge in the Moxie Fab World!

I am loving these challenges! They are really helping me stretch my creativity and focus on the overall design of my cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! :)
