Make-It Monday #3 (on Thursday... lol!)

Hi, therre! Glad to see you today and I hope everyone is having a BEAUTIFUL day! I'm here to share my take on the Papertrey Ink Make-It Monday challenge. This week, the challenge was presented my Miss Dawn McVey- it is to use scor-tape to create glitter accents. I have a confession... I'm not a glitter fan. I know, I know...  I can't help it. I really try to avoid the mess at all costs, but for Dawn I'll do it... haha!

Here's my card:

So... I think I'm in love with the new Royal Velvet color from Papertrey Ink and I chose it to use it here... so rich and beautiful.

I took some inspiration from the beautiful Nichole Heady and stamped my flower (YOF: Carnations) in Snow White ink and outlined it with my copics. Such a beautiful technique and I'm so glad I got to try it out.

I stamped the flower off the center panel and popped it up on dimensionals.

The strip of glitter is also continued off the edge of the center panel. I think it really helped with the balance of the card!

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Wow, gorgeous! Love the royal velvet, kraft and white combo. And love the flower and glitter going off the royal velvet. I was happily surprised w/ the color of the royal velvet too (the online previews didn't do it justice at all, lol).
