Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards I have created with my new set SHINE ON! I am IN LOVE with the starburst in this set- I think you'll be seeing it a lot!
Let's start off with something SUPER simple, shall we?
This set is not ONLY geared towards the holiday season- it's also great for encouragement cards! I started by heat embossing the starburst image directly on a white card base with silver embossing powder. The effect in real life is so sparkly and pretty! It was a little hard to capture the shine with the camera! I scored some lines under the image and stamped the sentiment, "you light up my life" with black ink. Super simple and perfect to have on hand when you want to send out a quick note to a friend!
The next one showcases the SHINE ON set in a holiday card!
FUN, right!? I found this great sketch on the retrosketches challenge blog and decided to play along!
The starburst was heat embossed with silver embossing powder again. LOVE that starburst- seriously can't stop using it! I stamped and colored the light bulbs and then cut them out for my focal image. I hung the Christmas lights from Charcoal twine from The Twinery! The sentiment "Happy Holidays" is stamped in the lower left corner with ColorBox Silver pigment ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! From here you're going to head on over to the very talented Brenda Weaver's blog!
When you're finished the hop, make sure you stop by the Market Street Stamps blog to comment for your chance to win one of the new stamp sets!
