Here's the challenge:

And here's my card!

Yes- I'm still making graduation cards... lol! I have a problem. Don't judge me. Anyway, I pulled out my Vintage Notepad background stamp from Market Street Stamps for this one! LOVE that stamp- it's so easy to cover a large area and there's no stress about matching the lines up! One stamp and it's done! I paired the super cute notepad background with the Wonderful Words Additions and dies from PTI- love this set! So much fun! And, of course, my edgy-ness was created with the EK Success Binding Edge Edger Punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Congratulations On Your New Arrival...

Hi, everyone! Hope you're enjoying your Friday! I have a quick card to share with you today. I created it for the last PaperCrafts call, obviously it didn't get picked up, but I still love it and would like to share it with you guys!

Here's the card:

LOVE this beautiful stamp from Unity- it's called Love. I used it for Mother's Day, too. It's a special one... The sentiment is from PTI's Bird Watching set. The patterned paper is another love of mine- Echo Park Paper Co.'s For the Record. I've been hoarding it a bit... lol!

That's all for me! Thanks for stopping by!

CAS-ual Color Blocking!

Hi! Nice to see you all today! I decided to play along with the CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week- looks super fun! The challenge is to use color blocking in your card design!

And here's my card!

I used the Enjoy Today stamp from Market Street Stamps for this one. LOVE that big teacup! I cut three different color blocks: PTI Royal Velvet, Summer Sunset, and Hawaiian Shores. I heat embossed the image with white Filigree embossing powder. The fourth panel (the white panel) I stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the sentiment in the corner and finished it off with a black rhinestone and a Raspberry Fizz button tied up with some pretty Twinery twine!

Hope you guys love it! Thanks for stopping by today!

A couple of reminders for you!

MSS Sketch Challenge #3!

It's time for the sketch challenge at the Market Street Stamps blog again! This sketch is super versatile and it's actually one I turn to often! The twist for this sketch challenge is to use spray mist on your project!

Here's the challenge:

And here's my card:

LOVE this new set! I used the super cool lawnmower from the Homegrown set! Colored it with my Copics to match the little red lawnmower my Daddy used to push!

Now... spray mist is an area I haven't ventured into yet- I actually don't have ANY spray mist.... oops! I think I will definitely have to get some soon. Until then, I improvised! I mixed Broken China and Weathered Wood Distress Stains in spray bottles with water and misted my paper that way! I love the "sky" effect I got!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure you stop by the Market Street Stamps blog to play along with this challenge- there are some great prizes involved!!

ALSO... did you see the announcement on the MSS blog tonight?! I have the pleasure of stepping into the role of DT Coordinator for Market Street Stamps! AND there's a DT call that opens TODAY! Check it out! We're looking for some great artists to join our team!! Here's the link to the announcement and DT call: MARKET STREET STAMPS DT CALL!

See you again soon!

My New Motto....

Don't worry.... I don't have a drinking problem... lol! I do LOVE this new stamp from Market Street Stamps, though, and it DOES describe how I feel right now! HAHA! I've got a lot going on, but I'm trying to take some time for my self every now and then and HAVE FUN! It's summertime- that's what summertime is for!

So, I made this little beauty to share with you all:

So- this card features the beautiful Sip On stamp from the May release! So cute! have you guys tried this cool ribbon technique? So much fun and adds a lot of flair! I just stuck Scor-Tape all around the border of the back of the image and then ruffled the Ripe Avacado satin ribbon all around the border, adhering it to the Scor-Tape after each little ruffle! LOVE it! I colored this yummy, fruity drink from the Tiki Time set with my Copics and adhered it with foam tape!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

MSS Color Cue Challenge #3

Hi there! It's been awhile! I feel like I say that every time I get on here! LOL! Sorry about that. You guys know how it is! It's the end of the school year and Eric's getting ready to go to Vegas for 3 weeks (for work..... yeah, I know.... ) so there's been a lot of running around going on.

Anyway, the reason I'm here today is to share a card I made for the latest Market Street Stamps Color Cue Challenge. This one was a hard one for me- I am so much more comfortable with neutrals... haha... but I LOVE the way this one turned out and it will soon be on it's way to my sweet sister-in-law for her birthday! I hope she loves it!

Here's the challenge:

And here's my card:

First, I cut a strip of Royal Velvet Cardstock, rounded the corners, and heat embossed (with white filigree embossing powder) this adorable Paisley background. I tied a Lavender Moon ribbon around and adhered it to the card front. Then, I did a little faux stitching with my American Crafts Precision Pen around the border. I think it came out nicely!

I was feelin' the heat embossing so I went on embossing with the flowers. These are two different size flowers that can be found in the new Homegrown set! LOVE these flowers and I'll be using those stamps A LOT! I layered the small flowers on top of the large flowers with foam tape and then added some leaves that I hand cut from New Leaf cardstock.

The sentiment, "Celebrate," is from the beautiful Simple Joys set!

Hope you love it! I fogot to share with you guys (my facebook friends have already heard.....)- one of my cards was chosen to be in the Card A Day 2012 issue from Paper Crafts! I'm SO excited! It was one of my goals to be published this year and I was very lazy about submitting.... lol. I finally did and it felt AMAZING to get that acceptance e-mail! I'll definitely be submitting more!

Thanks for stopping by today!
