Studio Calico August Kits: Marks & Co

  Hey!

I'm here with some fun stuff for you today!

The Studio Calico August kits are AVAILABLE NOW and you don't want to miss them! They are filled with beautiful, brand new product- lots of stuff that isn't even available in stores yet! How awesome is THAT!?

All of the kits are available now and you can take a look and purchase them HERE.

How about a look at the projects I made this month?

Love this big banner sentiment stamp from the Marks & Co Card Kit and I knew I wanted to make it a focal point on a card! I hand-cut banners and layered them in a row to create a fun pattern!

This milk bottle stamp (from the Marks & Co Card Kit) is SO MUCH FUN and there are so many ways to use it! For this card, I stamped the milk bottle on white cardstock and created a watercolor look by blending light blue and light green Copic markers. I adhered it to a sheet of kraft cardstock and sprayed it with Shine- love the sparkle!

I knew I wanted to put daisies in the bottle, but I also wanted them to vary in size. I decided to use the Card Digital Stamps to print three different size daisies! I colored the centers of the flowers and adhered them with foam tape, hand drawing stems with a black pen.

The fun blue/green patterned paper is from the Fitzgerald Card Add-on!

Oh how I love this little fawn (from the Salinger Add-on)! SO CUTE! I knew I wanted to keep the card clean and simple and let that pretty face shine!

I created the frame by taping the patterned papers to a sheet of copy paper and cutting the frame with my Cameo. Fun little trick to use up your scraps, too!

And how cool is that arrow! I'm such a sucker for glitter and these arrows are definitely going in the hoard drawer! Haha!

I fell head over heels for this awesome star paper from Fancy Pants! I paired it with the star cork shapes (both are in the Salinger Add-on!) and I knew it was a match made in heaven!

I added some Gold Mister Huey's and this amazing sentiment (from the Marks & Co Project Life kit) to finish it up!

I love the Amy Tan Embroidery Kit that comes in the Marks & Co Scrapbook Kit this month! Such a fun embellishment to include in the kit! I stitched the large ampersand using the template and some gold thread on a piece of patterned paper from the Fitzgerald Card Add-on.

Then, I stamped a bunch of ink splatters and stars from the Marks & Co Card Kit stamps on my card front using a mix of navy, gray, and gold inks.

I adhered the ampersand with foam tape and tucked the "many" and "thanks" sentiments in beside it. Those are from the Fitzgerald Card Add-on!

I love getting a head start on my projects by working with some of the digital files before my actual kits come in the mail! This month, I had a bunch of fun playing with the digital stamps- there are some GREAT ink splatters and hand drawn elements that are so fun to mix and match!

I started by stamping out a bunch of splatters and stars from the Card Digital Stamps and Scrapbook Digital Stamps. Then, I opened the fun Marks & Co Digital Template! I cut and pasted one of the pie charts over a blank white circle I added to the splatter file. Then I copied over the sentiment! Easy peasy and so much fun!

When I make a card like this, I normally make two at a time- easy to print on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of photo or presentation paper and I have two cards ready at the same time!

To finish it off, I added some sequins from the Marks & Co Project Life Kit!

As always, you can find FULL supply lists in my GALLERY!
And.... you can go pick up some of these awesome kits HERE!

I hope you love my projects this month!

SAIL WITH ME

 Hiya, friends!

I'd love to share a card with you today that I created with inspiration from the CAS(E) this sketch! blog! Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

I am still LOVING the Studio Calico Atlantic collection and I pulled it out again today for this card. I got this great constellation shadow pattern by layering the Nantucket paper with the vellum constellations- LOVE the way it came out!

The sailboat and sentiment are digital cut files- Atlantic Sail With Me Digital Cut Designs. And, of course, I added some of my favorite pale pink sequins from the Atlantic sequins pack.

So I'm linking this up over at CAS(E) this sketch! They have some beautiful inspiration over there- you should go check it out!

Have a great day! :)

Studio Calico July Kits: Matthew, Jennifer, & Molly

  How's it going!?

I'm here today with two more cards that I created with the new VALLEY HIGH Studio Calico kits!

The kits are AVAILABLE NOW and it looks like all of the add-ons are also still available- now is a great time to pick up some of these awesome kits!

The scrapbook add-ons were all so pretty this month- I was super excited to play with these pretty pieces! Here are some cards I made using the add-ons Matthew, Jennifer, and Molly- and some digital stuff, too!

I love to play with the digital stamps, especially when I'm not able to pick up the whole kits that include those stamps! For this card, I started with some digital stamp brushes- the notebook paper from the Valley High Digital Scrapbook Stamps and then added the super fun coffee from the Valley High Digital Project Life Stamps. I added some layers of paper from Scrapbook Add-on 1: Matthew and Scrapbook Add-on 2: Jennifer. I framed the whole card front with a sheet of paper from the Valley High Card Kit. The sweet cabochon and sequins are from Scrapbook Add-on 3: Molly.

The Valley High Circle Web digital cut design is SO MUCH FUN- I couldn't wait to create this card! I started by cutting the cut file out using four different sheets of patterned paper. Then I opened the cut design in Silhouette Studio and deleted some of the interior cuts, making the white circle design a little more bold. I pieced in the pieces from the patterned paper cuts like a puzzle! It was so fun to see it come together!

I created the sentiment with the adorable Junebug Thickers included in Add-on 3: Molly- the OA buttons are really fun, too!

Studio Calico July Kits: Card Kit Add-on: Corey

  Hey!

I'm here today to share a couple more cards that I created with the new VALLEY HIGH Studio Calico kits!

The kits are AVAILABLE NOW and it looks like all of the add-ons are also still available- now is a great time to pick up some of these awesome kits!

Here are the cards I made with the Card Kit Add-on: COREY! This is by far my favorite kit this month- love every element included!

This woodgrain paper is my absolute FAVORITE paper that I got this month! I knew I wanted to make a card where the paper really stood out and shined- so I kept this one super simple! I created a simple grid with the wood veneer asterisk accents, leaving a small space for the sentiment. I added the sentiment and some quick ribbon loops on the edge!

These sweet birds just stole my heart- one of my favorite stamps of all time! I couldn't resist stamping them together to create this fun, flirty sentiment!

I adhered the flat sequins from the Corey kit in a new way- rather than adhering the back side of the sequins, I laid them out and added drops of Glossy Accents on top of the sequins. It worked to adhere the sequins to my card and also created a fun dimensional on top of the sequins!
