Hi, guys! Checking in today with a card for Laura's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You! Check it out and play along- it's a lot of fun! Today's card definitely celebrates fall- my favorite season! The leaves are finally starting to change here in North Carolina and I was inspired by all the beautiful colors!




All the products used on this card are Papertrey Ink. I started by stamping my own pattern using the Leaf Prints stamp set on kraft cardstock. I used the medium scallop die and vintage vanilla cardstock to create the border. A little vintage cream twill, some terracota tile cardstock, and a sentiment from Fillable Frames #7 finish off the card! Thanks for taking a look today!

HI, guys! I'm here today with a card for the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch for this week! I came across this website just a week ago so this is the first time I've been able to play along. I love this sketch (and most of the previous sketches... hehe!) so expect to see many more sketch challenge cards in the upcoming weeks! Here's my card:

Butterfly Birthday Wishes

Hey, everyone! Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! Unfortunately, our plans to hit the beach this weekend got squashed by Hurricane Earl, but, eh... there's always next weekend. We spent the weekend catching up on some family time and just enjoying the days off.


I'm checking in tonight to show you a card that I originally made for the Papercrafts Go-To Sketch #6 Challenge. My card didn't get picked as a winner, but I still like it a lot! Here's the card:



I used the new Papertrey Ink butterfly die and my Martha Stewart butterfly punch to make the two butterflies from Summer Sunrise paper. I also masked the inside section of the card and stamped Background Basics: Text Style in Fresh Snow ink. I love the results and I'm sure I'll try it again soon! Thanks for looking!

Papertrey Ink Appreciation

So... I was asked a few days ago to participate in a great blog hop- one that I could not possibly miss. It is a very special blog hop to thank and show our appreciation to the great owners and operators of Papertrey Ink. In a time where money is tight and penny's are pinched, this company has emerged and beat all odds. One of the major reasons for their success is the incredible customer service and the feeling of community we get from the designers of these awesome products.

That being said, I would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to Nichole Heady. I do not know how she does it, but she manages to be an incredible wife and mother while juggling the demands of starting a new company and fielding all the ups and downs that come with that. She is absolutely an ispiration to all women and I am glad to "know" her through my stalking of her blogs! HAHA!

Papertrey August Blog Hop

HEY! I haven't had a chance to participate in the blog hop at Papertrey Ink for a while now and I'm super excited to play along this month! Here's this month's challenge: http://www.papertreyink.com/bloghop.html. I thought it was a great challenge! Here is my contribution:

I used the brown lunch bag as an accent on a Thank You card I made. I cut a piece of the bag, stamped the woodgrain background with tea dye ink, and attached it under my focal image as an accent.

Papertrey Anniversary Celebration Day 8!

Hi there! Did everyone see the new challenge and announcement over on the Papertrey blog today? If not- look here! Day 8 brought itty bitty paint cans and a paint-by-number challenge! Can't pass up the chance to win $100 gift certificate! Here's my card:


So, with my name starting with the letter "S", my color combination was kraft, smokey shadow, sweet blush, scarlet jewel, and vintage cream. The sentiment "Thinking of you" is from Through the Trees and the polka dots on the scarlet jewel piece are from Polka Dot Basics stamped with vintage cream ink. Thanks for taking a look!

Papertrey Anniversary Challenge!

Hi guys! It's been quite a while since I've blogged! I've been very busy with lots of family stuff and also going back to school! But of course, who could pass up such awesome prizes from Papertrey Ink! Today- the challenge is to use the emboss resist technique and I was very excited to join in! Here's my card:

I LOVE this color combination and use it a lot- ocean tides, smokey shadow, and soft stone. I stamped the text background first in smokey shadow, let it dry, and then clear embossed the leaf image from Turning a New Leaf over top of the text. Then, I sponged ocean tides ink around the image and cleaned off the embossed image with a damp papertowel. The sentiment is from Through the Trees. Hope you like it!
