May Paint the Town Color Challenge!

 Hi there, everyone! 

It's Paint the Town time again and I am IN LOVE with the beautiful colors this month!

Here's what I made based on this beautiful inspirational photo:

As you can tell, I didn't limit the inspiration to just the colors! I took inspiration from the beautiful jar of flowers, too! Everything I used on this card came out of the amazing DAYDREAMING kit except the sentiment- that's from the Simple Salutations set! I can't stop using that gold glitter ribbon! It's one of my new favorites- I want it in every color of the rainbow!

I added some pretty gold splatters to accent the pretty flowers, too! I'm going to link up over in the Spatter Technique Challenge in the Moxie Fab World!

CAS-ual Fridays 52- Feathered Friends

Happy Sunday! 

Hope you're all enjoying a wonderful Mother's Day today! I'm not getting out of my pajamas today- it's all I really want for Mother's Day! LOL! How about you? Doing anything special?

Here's what I made for the challenge this week!

I LOVE bird stamps (and I own quite a few... lol) so this week was a lot of fun for me! I started by stamping the tree branch pattern repeatedly with Amuse Studio Titian ink on PTI Rustic Cream cardstock. Then, I stamped all the different sized birds from the PTI Little Bitty Bird set on scrap paper, colored them with Copics, and cut them out. After stamping the birds again directly over top of the branches, I adhered the colored birds on top to create this layered look!

Can't get any sweeter than that sentiment, huh? One of my favorites!

 I created this first card to really showcase the awesome EXCLUSIVE stamps included in the Daydreaming kit! We have created this two-step butterfly that is SO versatile- you can really let your creativity fly and have some fun with it! For this card, I started by stamping the solid butterfly image in a couple of different color inks from Amuse Studios. I inked the stamp in a light color first and then went and added a little bit of a darker ink onto the stamp right over top the lighter color before stamping. I really like the look I got!

Then, I went in and stamped the outline butterfly repeatedly to finish the pattern! 

The sentiment I used is from the Simple Joys set!

LOVE this one- it's dreamy, right? I simply cut one of the polaroid frames from one of the patterned papers included in the kit, added a square of one of the other pattern papers and taped it to the card front! I love this mix of subtle patterns so much! 

And that ribbon.... I love it so much.... definitely my new favorite! I think it adds SO much to the design of the card! 

The sentiment is from the new sentiment set called Simple Salutations! It was a perfect fit!

This last one is really fun, too! I've had a lot of fun mixing and matching the different pattern papers included in this kit! Here I have mixed three different patterns to create a fun banner border! And, of course, I had to accent the banner with more of that fabulous ribbon!

The sentiment is from the Hippie Chic set!

So... here are some scrapbook layouts that I have made with the newest kit! This month I decided to share the love and make a couple of scrapbook pages for some very dear friends of mine!

My first layout features my friend Robin's sweet twins! How stinkin' cute are they!?

I played around with the beautiful pastel papers in this kit and created this very clean and simple layout. LOVE the embellishments in this kit- lots of stuff to mix and match to make your pages super special!

Oh goodness... those are some pinchable cheeks right there! LOL! But what I'm really trying to show you is the butterfly! This is ONE of the exclusive stamps included in the kit! I designed this very simple two-step butterfly for the kit- it coordinates PERFECTLY with the springy papers! I used the outline butterfly stamp, stamped it on a sheet of patterned paper, and cut it out! Easy peasy! I used a straight pin from my stash to draw even more attention to the sweet butterfly.

The next layout features my beautiful niece, Madison! She's sweet as can be and I LOVE that I could capture her sweet, carefree personality with this layout!

The colors in this kit are beautiful- really great for so many different themes and occasions. I love how the gold glitter ribbon (MY NEW FAVORITE RIBBON EVER by the way!) brings out the golden tones in the photo... just love it. 

Here I used the other part of the two-step butterfly stamp- the solid image! I inked it up with a pretty coral/pink ink and then added a little gold ink around the edges before stamping. SO much fun to play with these stamps!

MSS BLOCK PARTY and CAS-ual Fridays #50!

Hi there! 

I'm blogging today from sick land... ugh... I hate being sick. I'm going to try to rest as much as possible today and shake this fever, but man I feel bad! 

I wanted to pop in real quick and share a card I made for the Market Street Stamps Block Party! Lucky me- this card ALSO fits the newest CAS-ual Fridays challenge perfectly! 

I repeatedly stamped this sweet flower from Homegrown with black ink on Kraft cardstock. Then, I added white dot accents around each flower to make them POP! The sentiment is from the incredible Simple Salutations set! VERY versatile set- you definitely want to pick it up!
