Hello card + matching ENVELOPE!

  Hi!

Whenever I make a card that I know will be hand-delivered, I like to take the time to make it a little extra special. I love to stamp and embellish the envelope to match the design of the card!

I made this card a with the new LemonLush collection from Studio Calico and decided to take it up a notch and create a fun, sparkly envelope to go with it!

This collection is full of beautiful, bright colors and accents of gold and silver. Just absolutely beautiful!

Here's how I made the card:

1. Cut a card base.
Start with an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock. Cut the cardstock down the middle to create 2- 4 1/4" by 11" sheets. Then, score at 5 1/2" to make your card base!

2. Decorate with patterned paper, stickers, and die cuts.
I started by adhering this pretty polka dot patterned paper to the top of my card.
Then, I added some silver triangle stickers to create a fun banner look.
I continued the banner theme by cutting a banner shape with my Cameo.
I added a "hello" die cut and the cute butterfly and it was finished!

Here's how I created the envelope:

1. Gather supplies.
I used some fun triangle stickers, patterned paper, and stamps for this project!

2. Stamp a sentiment.
My card is a simple "hello" card, so I complimented it with this "I think you're amazing" sentiment!

3. Get creative.
I arranged the triangle stickers in a fun geometric pattern. Then I hand-cut a banner shape from the patterned paper and layered the sentiment strip on top. Glue everything down and make sure it's extra sturdy since it's on the outside of the envelope!

Here are the card and envelope together- I love how they compliment each other and the decorated envelope just makes the handmade card feel more dressed up!

Do you ever coordinate your envelope? I'd love to see!

Thanks for stopping by!
