Studio Calico ROUNDABOUT cards AND a WINNER!

  Hi!

I'm here tonight to share the cards I made with the new ROUNDABOUT kits from Studio Calico! I'm seriously IN LOVE with the kits this month- I still have so much playing to do!

Here's what I've made so far (full supply lists can be seen in my GALLERY!)

I had SO much fun with the stamps in the Roundabout Card Kit this month! I started by stamping the cross pattern repeatedly to make my own pattern. Then, I colored some of the crosses in to coordinate with the Pier "Carousel" paper! I am absolutely in love with the sentiment, too!

When I saw the stamp set in the Coconut Grove Card Kit Add-on, I knew that I had to have that kit! The mix and match balloons are super fun and this set is PERFECT for quick birthday cards!
On this one, I stamped several balloons and colored them with Copic markers. I used my colorless blender to make some fun designs on a few of the balloons!

I love it when there are fun little bits on 12x12 paper that you can cut out and use on cards! This sentiment is from a sheet in the Savannah Shore Add-on Kit! Love it and knew that I was going to make a card with it the second I saw it!
The Coconut Grove Card Add-on Kit comes with 2 beautiful rolls of Hemptique twine this month! I used the green here!
And check out those super sweet pink dots! They're called "Candi Mini's" and they're in the Coconut Grove Card Add-on, too!

This card features products from the beautiful Savannah Shore Add-on Kit! I LOVE the feminine florals in this kit- they pair so nicely with the metallic bits! These copper alphas are BEAUTIFUL!

am having so much fun with the Peerless Transparent Watercolor Papers! On this one, I watercolored over the mask from the Savannah Shore Add-on- it created this really fun pattern! Then, I went over it with some watered down copper mist and also sprayed the mist lightly. I finished it off with some gold stars (stamp from the Coconut Grove Card Add-on) and this amazing sentiment (stamp from the Roundabout Card Kit). LOVE the way it turned out!

I used a lot of lovely digital items for this card! I have been LOVING these beautiful Digital Layout Templates and this month is no different! I started with Roundabout Digital Compass Frame and then added some fun Digital Stamp Brushes: Roundabout Card Kit Brushes and Project Life Brushes! I printed it out and adhered it to a card base- super easy and really fun!

Like I said- I feel like I have so much more I want to create with these beautiful kits! Hopefully I'll have some TIME soon and I'll post something!

Studio Calico challenge!

  Well, hello!

I'm back from my trip to Gatlinburg, TN with Studio Calico and while I'm still kind of hanging out on cloud 9, I thought I'd stop in quickly and let you know about a fun challenge on the Studio Calico blog!

Shanna Noel and I are hosting this week and we thought it would be fun to create projects featuring the softer, more feminine colors in the Atlantic collection and the Planetarium kits! Check out this gorgeous color combination!

When I saw these pretty colors, I knew I wanted to include that pretty vintage lace from the North Star Kit on my card! So soft and pretty! I started by choosing three patterned papers and adhering strips to a thin sheet of printer paper. I cut the Home Sweet Home cut design with my Cameo from those papers. I adhered a pretty lace bow to the tag before adhering it to the card front! Then, I printed out a quick "congrats" sentiment and adhered it to the card. A clean and simple, quick card to take along to a housewarming party!

Run over to the Studio Calico blog to see Shanna's layout inspired by these colors and to play along!

I'll check back in soon- I have a TON of pictures to share from Camp Calico and I also have a little giveaway coming up! :)

I created this fun rainbow inspired card with the set Dream In Color (available NOW!). I knew when I saw that sentiment that I wanted to create something with rainbow colors and I just love the way it turned out! I cut the vines out of Studio Calico patterned papers (from Snippets, Here and There, and Sundrifter 6x6 paper pads) with my Cameo and adhered them in rows. The cut file is called Vine Background.

Here's what the stamp set looks like- SO much fun!

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today!
Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration!

Now it’s time to hop on over to Amy Kolling’s blog! If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog. Celebrate the creative side of you!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Who's ready for some awesome challenges to keep ya busy on
National Scrapbook Day!?

Come celebrate with Studio Calico!

We have a whopping 9 challenges to spark your creativity! And we also have an awesome set of sketches, free digital journal cards and accents, and members of the Creative Team will be chatting it up throughout the day (I'll be on with Catherine Davis at 9PM EST!)

You can check out all of the details on the Studio Calico blog HERE!

Here's a card I made for Card Team Challenge #2 | stamped patterned paper.

I LOVE using stamps to create my own backgrounds! On this one, I picked this tiny ampersand stamp (from Snippets Miss You So Much stamp set) and stamped it in different color inks to create a fun pattern. Then, I blended some distress ink across the card front to create a more rustic look. I finished it off with the sentiment, "you're awesome" stamped in gold ink! Stamping your own background is a great way to create flat, easy to mail cards!

Have a fabulous National Scrapbook Day! :)
