The Love of Christmas

Hi-ya!

I had a little (much needed!) crafty time yesterday and whipped up a quick Christmas card!
Check it out!

LOTS of fun stuff from i {heart} papers on this one! First things first.... I think I am head over heels in love with the MME All Is Bright 6x6 Pad. Seriously IN LOVE! It has a beautiful mix of small and large patterns and lots of fun elements that you can cut out and use in different ways. See that fun doily with text in the middle? Yup- just trimmed that off of one of the sheets in the pad, inked around the edges with silver pigment ink, and adhered it to the front of my card! Love the detail it adds! All of the papers on this card are from that 6x6 pad!

The sentiment is from the set I designed for Market Street Stamps called Shine On- also available at IHP!

And how cool is that Chevron Black Washi Tape!? I swear, I might use it on everything I make until the roll runs out... lol! LOVE it!

I'm also linking this up over at CAS-ual Fridays! I miss those girls so much! The challenge this week is to create a CAS winter project using blue!

See ya later! :)

Sn@p! 2 Ways!

  Hi!

How's everyone doing!?
Getting excited for Thanksgiving? I am! I can't wait to spend some quality time with the family- and eat pie, of course! LOL!

I'm here today to share some things I've done with the new Sn@p! products that I picked up from i {heart} papers! These products are super fun and great for SO many different things! They are a perfect fit for those of you documenting via a Project Life album (that's what I'm using it for!), they can be used with the Sn@p! albums to create fun smaller albums, or they can even be used on cards and layouts! The possibilities are endless!

First off, I'll share how I'm using Sn@p! in my Project Life album!

I used a combination of papers from the Sn@p Life! collection- both the Sn@p Life Basics 6x6 Pad and the Sn@p Life 6x6 Pad. Both pads offer some great neutral and print options, and also some cool little detail pages that you can cut out and use for journaling like I did in the top left and right photos!

I pulled out my Technique Tuesday Baseball stamp set to add a little detail to this journaling block- LOVE the retro feel of this stamp set! Just perfect for my page that features a lot of baseball related photos!

Remember how I said there are fun little journaling cards you can cut out of the Sn@p Life 6x6 Pad?This is what I'm talking about! How perfect is that for adding just a quick blurb about the picture in the corner! Love having this option!

So- Sn@p isn't ONLY for those of us doing Project Life type scrapbooks! I was initially drawn to Sn@p because of the fun patterns and designs! These 6x6 pads are perfect for cards and they're just the tip of the iceberg! I've also made some really cute stuff with the 4x6 and 3x4 Sn@p Quote Cards-you definitely want to check those out!

Here's a card I made with a card from Sn@p Quote Cards 3x4: Snappy Thoughts and a sheet from the Sn@p Life 6x6 Pad!

I paired these fun papers with the Market Street Stamps Great Big Greetings stamp set and some fun Maya Road Twine Cording!

I made this card for the latest Retro Sketches challenge! LOVE this sketch!

I hope you'll run over to i {heart} papers and check out these fun new products! I'm having SO much fun with them!

Wild and Free

  Good morning!

I have a fun card to share with you today using one of my new stamp sets, WILD!

I have been IN LOVE with the feather trend lately- and so I had to create a peacock feather stamp!

Check out my card:

I started by heat embossing the feather image repeatedly on a panel of white cardstock. I LOVE the details of this feather stamp- and you can even see that great detail after embossing! Then, I used the Distress Stain Resist technique to add some color! Finally, I stamped the sentiment in the bottom right corner.

Have a great day! :)

MSS Block Party Time!

Hey there!

It's BLOCK PARTY time again! I was super excited to break into some of the other new stamps released by Market Street Stamps this week!

On this one, I combined some of the elements of Julie Day's Country Christmas set with a sentiment from DoBea Albert's Ornaments set! LOVE mixing and matching!

I started by stamping the cross-stitch border repeatedly across the card. I wasn't trying to be super neat about it- they cross over each other here and there- I meant to do that... lol! I thought it gave it a more "country" look. Then, I stamped the open ornament image on three different sheets of patterned paper (from Lily Bee Design Memorandum 6x6 Tiny Tablet). I really love how the ornaments pop off the front of the card! I finished it off by stamping the sentiment (from Ornaments) across the top!

I'm also linking this card up in the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge!

Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards I have created with my new set SHINE ON! I am IN LOVE with the starburst in this set- I think you'll be seeing it a lot!

Let's start off with something SUPER simple, shall we?

This set is not ONLY geared towards the holiday season- it's also great for encouragement cards! I started by heat embossing the starburst image directly on a white card base with silver embossing powder. The effect in real life is so sparkly and pretty! It was a little hard to capture the shine with the camera! I scored some lines under the image and stamped the sentiment, "you light up my life" with black ink. Super simple and perfect to have on hand when you want to send out a quick note to a friend!

The next one showcases the SHINE ON set in a holiday card!

FUN, right!? I found this great sketch on the retrosketches challenge blog and decided to play along!

The starburst was heat embossed with silver embossing powder again. LOVE that starburst- seriously can't stop using it! I stamped and colored the light bulbs and then cut them out for my focal image. I hung the Christmas lights from Charcoal twine from The Twinery! The sentiment "Happy Holidays" is stamped in the lower left corner with ColorBox Silver pigment ink.

i {heart} papers! YAY!

Good morning!

I have a BIG announcement today!

I am VERY happy to be joining the i {heart} papers design team!

I met Kate at CHA last winter and just love her to pieces! I was SO excited when she asked me to join the team!

I made a little mini page (8x8) to introduce myself! I don't normally spend very much time talking about ME, but it was a lot of fun to write out some things that describe me! Check it out!

I love making these cute little 8x8 pages- they're also a great way for cardmakers to get into scrapbooking- MUCH less intimidating that a 12x12 page!

LOTS of fun stuff on this page- all the beautiful patterned paper is from the Crate Paper Acorn Avenue 6x6 Paper Pad. Love the warm tones in this pad- perfect for fall! I am IN LOVE with this Twine Cording from Maya Road! It has gold twisted in it! And I added some more gold with this 5/8" Metallic Gold Stripe Washi Tape! I finished it off by adding a "FROM THE DESK OF" element in the right corner- that stamp is from MSS Teacher Notes!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I have a $10  i {heart} papers Gift Certificate to give away!
Leave a comment on this post and I'll draw a winner on November 8th!
